Cisco Salary Survey
If you are seeking to improve your certification career status and are ready to take the necessary steps to earn a Professional Level Cisco certification, then GlobalNet Training is your home for customized and continuously updated courses to insure not only a passing grade but the skills necessary to build and maintain your companyâ€s current and future network.
The rationale behind the new CCNP program is that a CCNP certified individual should be able to support any kind of network - including wireless and voice. The new CCNP program maintains its focus on the advanced skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, but also expands to include techniques to deploy and support wireless, voice, and security applications on the network edge.
Network professionals who achieve the new CCNP certification will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to fully utilize Cisco Integrated Service Routers (ISR), which provide wire-speed delivery of concurrent data, voice, video, and wireless services applications. By passing the exams, you will also demonstrate the expertise necessary to integrate and manage converged networks, quality of service (QoS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
With 4 routers and 2 switches PER CCNP STUDENT, you can achieve your CCNP Certification Guaranteed!*
Understanding how to configure routers and switches is important, and GlobalNet's CCNP students gain that experience by training on 4 Routers and 2 Switches, including Multi-Layer Catalyst Switches and the Cisco ISR Router series, per student pod in more than 50 of our labs.
The GNT lab equipment allows our students access to the newest and most advanced equipment, including the new Cisco ISR routers and the IOS based Catalyst switch product line. Our Repetitive Hands-On Labs enable our students to build solid networking skills and to do the following:
- Configure and verify IPv6 addressing and OSPF v3 (IPv6 Routing)
- Configure ISR routers with the new Secure Device Manager (SDM) web interface.
- Create QOS policies with CLI and SDM
- Configure the IOS firewall and Intrusion Protection Sensor
- Secure access to ISR routers with the new Auto-secure features
- Create and configure an MPLS network
- Enable routing between Vlans using Virtual Vlan interfaces.
- Enable routing protocols (RIP and RIPv2) on a Catalyst Multi-layer switch (MLS) platform allowing the switch to converge with and share routing updates with stand alone routers.
- Create and enable router ACL€s and Vlan ACLs.
- Create routed interfaces on a MLS.
- Configure and monitor Cisco Wireless devices:
- Cisco WCS Server
- Cisco WLAN Controllers: 4400, 2100
- Cisco Access Points: Cisco Lightweight and Autonomous Access Points 1000, 1100, 1200, 1242, 1310
Students do not share equipment and are given 24/7 access to their own dedicated pod of live Cisco gear.
PLEASE NOTE: To participate in the hands-on labs, please bring a laptop computer with wireless connection. Basic Telnet, VPN, and Remote Desktop connections will be required.

I was laid off back in April, and immediately went to the CCNA Bootcamp in Plano to get recertified. (My CCNA had expired ) I followed it up with the CCNP Bootcamp the next week, and got that certification after just one retake the Tuesday after class finished. After a little over a month of searching, I started my new job last week. I make over 5% more than I was making, and I went from working in a cube in a converted warehouse, doing server capacity stuff I hated, to being the only Cisco guru on-hand in a beautiful 14th floor office in Las Colinas. (And I kept most of my severance money!)
During the interview process, I was not asked a single technical question, so I have little doubt that having the CCNP on my resume is what got me this job. I just wanted to write in and say thanks for making it all happen for me! ― Terry Clark
My instructor did an exceptional job teaching my CCNP course. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He answered every question no matter how small, and still finished on time. It was superb. ― Rob Littleton
Best experiences? The Camaraderie developed by not only fellow students but including the instructor. ― Anonymous
Thoroughly enjoyed my time. This bootcamp was a first for me and I found it to be intense to say the least. Having the all inclusive package really made focusing on the training much easier. Pat delivered concise, on point instruction that was easy to follow. ― Lou Wright
The two things that I liked most about the instructor were: 1. He was patient 2. He injected humor and life experiences in the lecture. This not only kept the class from being mundane, but it also allowed me to better understand the concepts and how to apply them. ― Anonymous
The instructor's presentation was very easy to follow; it was logical and well thought out. He made hard concepts easy to understand and spoke in layman's terms. Highly intelligent, articulate, and accessible. Great class!! I enjoyed feeling like the class was tailored for me. We had a very small class size and every question I had was answered to the best of the instructor's knowledge. Great assistance given by the registrars, Angela Garcia and Krystal Hart. They made it very easy and comfortable. ― Samuel Moultrie
Location, location, location, [the employees] were very nice there and made you feel good for the time you were there. ― Manuel Lawrence
[The instructor leant] real world experience, obviously an enthusiast of what he is teaching. Fun environment (sic), no strict or petty rules. ― Justin Edens
The summarized content made it easier to study. i.e. right level of content to learn the subject. [The instructor] managed to get through the all the objectives and ensuring everyone was ready before the tests. Very good examples used to explain some of the topics. In my opinion, he did everything right. He has a great way of passing the knowledge to others. [Some of the best experiences were] meeting people from different parts of the U.S. and learning on how they worked on their networks. Most of all, attaining the CCNP certification. Everyone was very friendly and always willing to help. Made it very easy to settle down and get on with the objective. ― Nimish Shah
I received your thank you letter regarding the classes that I took this summer at GlobalNet in Dallas and LA, and I am happy to say I am CCNP, CCSP and WLANFE certified! I spent over 40 hours talking to people all over the United States, regarding the different Cisco certification programs offered. GlobalNet’s reputation of updating its courses to keep up with the ever changing exams, coupled with the sometimes grueling simulation demands required to teach this course effectively, were tackled by your instructors to such a degree that I will recommend your school in the future and take more classes with you. ― Mathew Brewster
There were just too many great experiences to list regarding my GlobalNet Training CCNP course. Both instructors I had for my call were awesome! ― Scott Harris
I passed every CCNP test the first time! The instructor was articulate and personable making the material easy to follow. ― Jon LaCroix
